Thunderstorms, hail and snow forecast in Azerbaijan on April 29

Azerbaijan is expected to see rain, thunderstorms and hail on April 29, with snow forecast in mountainous areas, the National Hydrometeorological Service said.

Rain is expected at times across the country and may be heavy in some places. In Baku and on the Absheron peninsula, rain is forecast in the morning and evening, with some intense showers possible.

A moderate northwesterly wind is expected to strengthen during the day in the capital and on Absheron.

Temperatures in Baku and on the Absheron peninsula are forecast at 8-11 degrees Celsius overnight and 12-15 degrees during the day.

In the regions, nighttime temperatures are expected at 7-12 degrees, rising to 15-20 degrees during the day. In mountainous areas, temperatures will range from 1-6 degrees at night and 7-12 degrees during the day, reaching as high as 16 degrees in some places.

Precipitation is expected to gradually ease in most areas by evening. Fog is also forecast in some places, with a moderate westerly wind prevailing.
