Earthquake recorded in Caspian Sea
An earthquake was recorded in the Caspian Sea, according to Azerbaijan’s Republican Seismological Service Center.
The tremor occurred at 06:30 local time and had a magnitude of 3.9. The earthquake’s hypocenter was located at a depth of 62 km beneath the seabed.
No casualties or damage were reported.
The Caspian Sea has experienced a series of low-to-moderate magnitude earthquakes this year, with seismologists describing such activity as typical for the region.
