Kurtulmuş welcomes progress in Iran-U.S. talks

Türkiye welcomes positive developments in talks between Iran and the United States, Turkish Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmus said on Tuesday.

Speaking at the 20th conference of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Baku, Kurtulmus said he hoped the terms of any agreement between Tehran and Washington would be fully implemented.

“We hope that the ongoing talks will produce positive results and that a genuine atmosphere of peace will be established in the region,” he said.

Kurtulmus said diplomatic efforts should contribute to easing tensions and strengthening stability in the Middle East.
