Rain and thunderstorms forecast in Azerbaijan

Rain is expected in parts of Baku and the Absheron peninsula on Thursday, with heavy showers and thunderstorms possible in some areas overnight, the National Hydrometeorological Service said.

Partly cloudy weather and mostly dry conditions are forecast during the day in the capital and on the peninsula. Northeasterly winds will shift to northwesterly in the evening.

Temperatures in Baku and on the Absheron peninsula are expected to range between 19-22 degrees Celsius at night and 27-32 degrees during the day.

In the regions of Azerbaijan, intermittent rain is forecast in some areas, with heavy showers, thunderstorms and hail possible in isolated locations. Rainfall may intensify at night and in the evening, while fog is expected in some mountainous areas.

Temperatures in the regions will range from 19-22 degrees Celsius at night to 30-35 degrees during the day. In mountainous areas, temperatures will range from 9-14 degrees at night and 18-23 degrees during the day, rising to 25-27 degrees in some places.
