Azerbaijan police detain 76 criminal suspects in nationwide operations over past 24 hours

Azerbaijani law enforcement officers detained 76 individuals suspected of committing various offenses on August 20, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced.

Police successfully solved 61 crimes recorded during the day, alongside 17 cold cases carried over from previous periods. In addition, officers apprehended and handed over 120 individuals on wanted lists, including 96 debtors.

Operational checks also led to the uncovering of 24 illicit drug offenses and 10 incidents involving the seizure of illegally held firearms and ammunition.
