Over 1,100 University Admission Slots Remain Vacant in Azerbaijan
A total of 1,115 admission seats across major specialty groups (Groups I–V) remained unfilled following the primary university entrance campaign in Azerbaijan, the State Examination Center (SEC) announced.
The highest number of vacancies was recorded in Group IV with 407 seats, followed by Group II with 395 seats and Group V with 288 seats. Group III registered 25 vacant slots, including 5 available spots for the English-taught "Library and Information Science" program. According to the SEC, applicants with a minimum overall score of 200 points (and at least 100 points in the second exam stage) are eligible for the additional placement contest for vacant seats. Specific agricultural programs permit eligibility from 150/50 points, while Group V placements are reserved for candidates meeting aptitude test requirements.
