600,000 Azerbaijani students join Digital Skills project
Around 600,000 school students in Azerbaijan are currently participating in the Digital Skills project, Science and Education Minister Emin Amrullayev said at the Baku ID 2026 innovation festival.
The project started more than 10 years ago with 5,000 students and now covers roughly half of the country’s school students, he said.
Amrullayev said participation in Azerbaijan’s STEAM project had also grown from several thousand students in around 50 schools to more than 300,000 students.
More than 300 Azerbaijani students are sent each year to leading foreign universities to study cybersecurity, information technology and other fields, he added.
