Six detained over attempted school arson in Baku's Yasamal district

Police in Baku have foiled an attempted arson attack on a secondary school in the Yasamal district, detaining six suspects, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported. The timely intervention prevented any property damage or casualties.

Law enforcement officers apprehended the primary suspect, previously convicted Mahammad Ismayilov, alongside five 10th- and 11th-grade students from the same educational institution. A criminal investigation has been launched under the relevant article of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan to determine the motives and circumstances behind the attempted attack.
