Netherlands Pledges Financial Assistance to Azerbaijan and Armenia for Missing Persons Search
The Netherlands will allocate financial assistance to both Azerbaijan and Armenia to support operations aimed at tracing individuals who went missing during the conflict, Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs Tom Berendsen announced during his visit to Yerevan.
Emphasizing that Amsterdam fully backs steps taken by Baku and Yerevan toward bilateral normalization, the minister stressed the critical need for negotiations to culminate in the signing of a comprehensive peace treaty. Berendsen pledged fresh humanitarian funding to aid search and identification efforts in both countries and voiced support for Armenia’s expanding partnership with the European Union.
