Precipitation Projected to Exceed Norms in Several Regions
According to the National Hydrometeorological Service, November will usher in seasonal shifts in atmospheric circulation across Azerbaijan, bringing more overcast days and temperature drops driven by incoming cold air masses.
The average monthly temperature is anticipated to track near or slightly above climatic averages, with monthly precipitation largely aligning with seasonal norms while exceeding them in several districts.
In Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, average monthly temperatures are expected to settle between 10–13°C (nighttime lows of 10–15°C, daytime highs of 16–21°C), with precipitation near or slightly above the 28–38 mm benchmark.
The Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic will see averages of 7–9°C, while Karabakh and East Zangezur are forecast at 5–9°C, accompanied by nighttime mountain frosts of 0–5°C. In the Ganja-Gazakh corridor and the central lowland plains, temperatures will skew slightly above normal at 8–11°C and 10–12°C, respectively, with daytime peaks reaching 20–24°C. The Greater Caucasus and southern regions are anticipated to register rainfall volumes near or above baseline seasonal ranges (55–170 mm in the south).
