Weather Service Details Factors Behind Fog Across Baku and Absheron

Dense fog has enveloped parts of Baku and the wider Absheron Peninsula, the National Hydrometeorological Service reported. Meteorologists attribute the condition to overnight ground-level surface cooling paired with dropping ambient temperatures.

The agency noted that foggy weather patterns across the peninsula predominantly concentrate between December and April. While a seasonal decline is typically observed from May through October, the frequency of foggy days begins an upward trend starting each November.
