Communication for all: now learning sign language is even easier

Nar is making communication accessible for everyone by enhancing jestdili.az - the first and only Azerbaijani sign language e-dictionary, created jointly by the mobile operator, ADA University and Support to the Deaf Public Union. Jestdili.az is an invaluable resource that allows anyone to learn Azerbaijani sign language online anytime and anywhere completely free of charge.

The new version of jestdili.az features 4000 video translations, including 500 sentences with examples of their usage in day-to-day life. The interface of jestdili.az was completely overhauled to ensure user-friendliness. Modern design, intuitive categorization, an updated search system and many more features were implemented by IT faculty students at ADA university.

Speaking at the "Communication for all” conference Director of the Public Relations and Corporate Communications Department of Nar Aziz Akhundov noted that the latest updates to the jestdili.az website will expand its reach. "In addition to being the closest mobile operator to our customers, we aim to bring people closer to each other by lifting communication limitations and support building a more inclusive society”, Aziz Akhundov underlined.

Nar’s "jestdili.az” was honoured with the Golden World Award by the International Public Relations Association for its social initiative as the most successful CSR project. More information about all social projects implemented by Nar is available at nar.az/projects.
