Denmark to create fund to help Ukraine for over $1B

The Danish government has reached an agreement with parliamentary parties to set up a Ukrainian fund of 7 billion crowns (more than $1 billion) in 2023, according to the Ministry of Finance of the Kingdom, reported from TASS.
"The purpose of the fund is the needs of Ukraine, and it is necessary that Denmark coordinate efforts aimed at military, civilian and business support. The parties also agree that Denmark should remain among the countries that support Ukraine the most in terms of assistance,” reads the message.
Some 5.4 billion crowns ($778 million) will be allocated for military support - weapons, equipment and training in 2023. This is while 1.2 billion crowns ($173 million) is allocated for civilian assistance - urgent humanitarian efforts and long-term reconstruction.
The fund also provides support to Danish companies that want to participate in the restoration of Ukraine. For this, 400 million crowns ($57 million) are provided.
