Azerbaijan sees 26% growth in electricity exports, 17% decline in imports

Azerbaijan exported 1,037.7 million kWh of electricity and imported 83.5 million kWh in January-July 2022, reported from the Energy Ministry. 

According to the ministry, compared to a year earlier, the exports increased by 215.3 million kWh, or 26.2%, while the imports dropped by 16.6 million kWh, or 16.6%. 

In July alone, electricity exports made up 374.2 million kWh, up 221.5 million kWh from the previous year. The imports amounted to 12.4 million kWh, 1.2 million kWh higher than the same period in 2021.
