Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan discuss creation of joint investment fund

Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are considering establishing joint ventures and private investment funds to boost cooperation between the two economies, Kazakhstan’s deputy minister of trade and integration Ayzhan Bizhanova told Report.
“There is mutual interest in this area,” Bizhanova said. “We were impressed by how Azerbaijan’s investment fund supports young entrepreneurs in franchising. In Kazakhstan, we have an institution that helps develop business ideas from small to large scale and bring them to foreign markets. If we combine these mechanisms, a joint project could emerge,” she added.
The deputy minister also noted that Azerbaijan’s digital monitoring and video-evaluation systems for state programs are relevant for Kazakhstan. “We see cooperation potential in this area as well and are ready to work together,” Bizhanova said.
