Azerbaijan’s unemployment rate remains stable at around 5.6 % of the working-age population, Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population Anar Aliyev said.

According to the minister, as of April 1, 2025, the number of registered unemployed stood at about 283.2 thousand, slightly higher than in the previous month.

The average nominal monthly wage across the country for January–June 2025 amounted to 1 098.1 manats.

“We continue to implement measures to stimulate employment, modernise the labour market, and expand social protection for the most vulnerable groups,” Aliyev stated.

He also emphasized the importance of sustained cooperation with statistical and employment agencies.
