“Garden of Heroes” project: 543 trees planted in memory of martyrs

Since 2021, the Red Hearts Foundation has been carrying out tree-planting initiatives in various cities and districts across the country to honor and perpetuate the bright memory of the heroic sons of Azerbaijan who fell in the First and Second Karabakh Wars. As part of the project, each city and district plants a number of trees corresponding to the number of martyrs who rose to the peak of heroism. The initiative also aims to contribute to the improvement of Azerbaijan’s environmental landscape.

The latest tree-planting campaign was held with the support of PMD Group in the cities of Mingachevir and Shirvan. A total of 543 evergreen trees were planted in memory of 543 martyrs – 384 in Mingachevir and 159 in Shirvan. The event brought together families of martyrs, veterans, local community representatives, as well as employees of Kapital Bank and the Red Hearts Foundation. The campaign was organized with the assistance of local executive authorities. 

As a result, the number of “Garden of Heroes” established across the country has reached 30. The project is planned to continue throughout the planting season. The maintenance of the trees, including watering and other necessary care, will be ensured by local executive authorities and the Red Hearts Foundation.

“Red Hearts” was founded in December 2019 at the initiative of Kapital Bank employees. The organization, which operates as a foundation from 2020, mainly contributes to the formation of a culture of philanthropy in our country.
