Azerbaijan’s non-bank credit sector assets rise 25% in 2025 – central bank
Assets of Azerbaijan’s non-bank credit institutions (NBCIs) increased by 25% in 2025 to 1.24 billion manats, Fuad Isayev, director general of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, said on Tuesday.
Speaking at the Microfinance Forum in Baku, Isayev said there are currently 54 NBCIs and 34 credit unions operating in the country, with all but one representing the private sector.
He said the sector’s loan portfolio rose by 29% last year to exceed 1 billion manats, while capital increased by 26.2% to more than 3 million manats.
According to Isayev, NBCI capital accounts for 24.5% of total sector assets.
