Central Bank cuts Azerbaijan’s 2026 GDP growth forecast to 1.1%

The Central Bank forecasts Azerbaijan’s GDP growth at 1.1% in 2026 and 3.2% in 2027.

Central Bank Governor Taleh Kazimov said this.

According to the previous forecast, GDP growth was expected at 2.9% in 2026 and 3.3% in 2027.

Kazimov said growth in the non-oil and gas sector is forecast at 3.2% in 2026 and 4.7% in 2027.

The previous forecast put inflation at 4.8% in 2026 and 4.5% in 2027.

Kazimov noted that economic growth is expected to be supported by domestic demand and activity in the non-oil sector.
