IsDB has allocated over $1 billion to Azerbaijan since 1992

The Islamic Development Bank has allocated more than $1 billion to Azerbaijan under state guarantees for 18 completed and one ongoing project since 1992.

Azerbaijan and the IsDB Group are expanding cooperation in private sector financing, trade finance, investment insurance and infrastructure development, AZPROMO Executive Director Yusif Abdullayev said at the IsDB Group Private Sector Roadshow in Baku.

He said the event aims to strengthen the bank’s engagement with Azerbaijan’s private sector ahead of the IsDB Group Annual Meetings and Private Sector Forum, to be held in Baku on June 16-19, 2026.

Nearly 100 Azerbaijani companies from agriculture, food production, finance, insurance, construction, infrastructure, logistics, energy, ICT, manufacturing, tourism, healthcare and consulting joined the event, Abdullayev said.

He added that ITFC has allocated more than $83 million in credit lines to Azerbaijan’s private sector.
