SOCAR and MOL executives meet in Tashkent

SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf met MOL Group Chairman and CEO Zsolt Hernadi in Tashkent to discuss expanding cooperation in the energy sector.

The sides reviewed progress in joint projects, including a hydrocarbon exploration and production agreement in Azerbaijan’s Shamakhi-Gobustan region, and exchanged views on new partnership opportunities.

SOCAR and MOL signed a production-sharing agreement for the Shamakhi-Gobustan project in December 2025, with MOL holding 65% and SOCAR 35%.
