Azerbaijan eases registration rules for foreigners arriving for WUF13

Azerbaijan eases registration rules for foreigners arriving for WUF13
14.05.2026 16:30

Azerbaijan’s State Migration Service said foreigners arriving in the country for World Urban Forum 13 (WUF13) will be exempt from temporary residence registration requirements for up to 30 days.

The agency said the exemption applies to foreign citizens and stateless persons entering Azerbaijan with a WUF13 visa or under a visa-free regime after completing registration through the UN-Habitat system.

Under Azerbaijani law, most foreigners staying in the country for more than 15 days are normally required to register at their place of stay.

Baku is set to host WUF13, one of the world’s largest forums on urbanization and sustainable city development, in May 2026.
