New York natural gas prices rise

Natural gas futures in New York rose on Monday as expectations of higher demand for power generation amid hot weather supported the market.

The July natural gas contract on NYMEX gained 1.3% to $4.02 per million British thermal units (mmBtu).

Traders continued to monitor U.S. weather forecasts, gas storage levels and production trends.
