NYMEX natural gas prices fall
Natural gas futures on the New York Mercantile Exchange fell as investors took profits and ample U.S. supplies weighed on the market.
The price of the August natural gas contract fell 0.49% to $3.28 per million British thermal units (mmBtu), according to market data.
Analysts said comfortable inventory levels and strong production continued to pressure prices despite expectations of stronger summer demand.
The market remains sensitive to weather forecasts, storage levels and expectations for electricity demand and LNG consumption.
