Azerbaijan’s fruit and vegetable exports rise 19% in first half

Azerbaijan exported 429,350 tonnes of fruit and vegetables worth $493.96 million in January-June 2026, data from the State Customs Committee showed.

The value of exports rose 18.8% from a year earlier, while volumes increased by 6.7%.

The country imported 203,060 tonnes of fruit and vegetables worth $177.62 million during the same period. Import value fell 0.6%, while volumes declined 15.1%.

Azerbaijan’s foreign trade turnover rose 1.1% to $24.66 billion in the first half. Exports increased 26.7% to $16.32 billion, while imports fell 27.6% to $8.34 billion.

The country recorded a trade surplus of $7.98 billion, 5.9 times higher than a year earlier.
