Gold, silver prices edge lower
Gold and silver prices eased on Tuesday as the U.S. dollar strengthened and investors awaited this week’s Federal Reserve policy meeting.
Spot gold slipped to around $3,320 an ounce, while spot silver fell to around $38 an ounce.
Markets are focused on the outcome of the Federal Reserve meeting for clues on the future path of U.S. interest rates. Higher interest rates tend to weigh on non-yielding assets such as gold and silver.
