Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan Trade Hits $77M
Trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan reached $34.066 million in the first seven months of 2026, according to calculations based on State Customs Committee data. Azerbaijani exports to Kyrgyzstan surged nearly fourfold year-on-year to $30.030 million, while imports contracted to $4.035 million. In 2025, bilateral trade expanded 1.9-fold to reach $77.172 million.
Temirlan Razbayev, senior expert at Kyrgyzstan's National Institute for Strategic Initiatives under the President, noted in an interview with Trend that the alliance agreement signed in July 2026 and the capitalization of the Azerbaijan–Kyrgyzstan Development Fund to $200 million provide robust institutional mechanisms for joint ventures.
He emphasized that bilateral cooperation is shifting toward concrete transport, logistics, and hydropower initiatives, pointing to the integration of the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway into the Trans-Caspian Middle Corridor as a pivotal driver of regional connectivity.
