OPEC: Azerbaijan’s crude oil output slipped to 448,000 bpd in August

Azerbaijan's average daily crude oil production decreased by 7,000 barrels per day (bpd) month-on-month in August, settling at 448,000 bpd, according to the latest monthly market report from the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC). In July, daily crude extraction stood at 455,000 barrels.

Quarterly figures reveal that average daily crude output reached 454,000 bpd in the first quarter and edged up by 2,000 barrels to 456,000 bpd in the second quarter. Across full-year 2025, Azerbaijan averaged 461,000 bpd in daily crude production, marking a 20,000 bpd drop from 2024 volumes.

Under existing OPEC+ agreements aimed at crude market stabilization, Azerbaijan's agreed production ceiling through the end of 2026 stands at 551,000 bpd. Consequently, Azerbaijan lagged behind its allocated OPEC+ production quota by 103,000 bpd during the month of August.
