Fixed capital investment in Nakhchivan grows 28.5%
A total of 159.3 million manats ($93.7 million) was invested in fixed capital in Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in January-August 2026, citing Nakhchivan's Cabinet of Ministers.
The figure was 28.5% higher than in the same period last year.
Of the total investment, 48.5% was directed to goods-producing sectors, 13.8% to services and 37.7% to residential construction.
Construction and installation work accounted for 128.3 million manats ($75.5 million), or 80.5% of total fixed capital investment, up 38.5% year-on-year.
Overall, 12.6778 billion manats ($7.46 billion) was invested in fixed capital in Azerbaijan during the first eight months of the year, representing a 10% increase in real terms compared with the same period last year.
Investment in the oil and gas sector rose by 32.4% year-on-year to 4.2467 billion manats ($2.50 billion), while investment in the non-oil and gas sector increased by 1.4% to 8.4311 billion manats
