Kazakh firm eyes Armenian rail links
A Kazakh company has expressed interest in rehabilitating disused railway sections in Armenia that lead to the borders with Azerbaijan and Turkey, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced during a press briefing on October 8.
Pashinyan specified that the proposed initiative targets railway segments around Yeraskh and Akhurik. The Prime Minister added that the restoration of these strategic rail links will be formally discussed with Oleg Belozerov, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Russian Railways (RZD), during his upcoming visit to Armenia next week.
