Port of Baku hits record 100,000 TEU

Container throughput at the Port of Baku reached approximately 100,000 TEU in January–September 2026, marking a 30% year-on-year increase compared to 77,300 TEU in the same period last year and setting a new operational record.

Total cargo handled at the port rose 4% year-on-year to 6.35 million tons during the first nine months, while dry bulk cargo volumes surged 71% to reach 1.75 million tons.
