Mortgage affordability index in Azerbaijan hits 121% in H1 2026
The housing mortgage affordability index in Azerbaijan reached 121% during the first half of 2026, announced Atakhan Hasanov, Director of the Financial Stability Department at the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
According to Hasanov, reading above the 100% threshold confirms that household disposable income remains fully adequate to cover average monthly payments on newly disbursed mortgage loans.
Addressing residential real estate market trends, the CBA official noted that by mid-2026, annual property price growth reached 12.7% across the primary housing sector, while secondary housing market valuations appreciated by 8.3%.
