Azerbaijan’s Banking Sector Assets Top 63.6 Billion Manats, Up 13.3% Year-on-Year

Total assets across commercial banks operating in Azerbaijan reached 63,621.7 million manats as of October 1, marking a 13.3% increase compared to the same period last year, according to regulatory data from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan. Aggregate banking liabilities stood at 55,783 million manats, while total balance sheet equity amounted to 7,838.7 million manats.

During September alone, total assets expanded by 1.8%, liabilities increased by 1.9%, and balance equity rose by 1.1%. Lending activity maintained positive momentum throughout the month, with the aggregate loan portfolio expanding by 2.6%, or 860.5 million manats, to reach 33,684.7 million manats.
