Crypto Market Rebounds as Bitcoin Crosses $78,500 Threshold
The cryptocurrency market recorded broad-based gains across major digital assets over the past 24 hours, with Bitcoin reclaiming territory above the $78,500 mark. According to CoinMarketCap metrics, Bitcoin advanced 1.17% on the day to trade at $78,530.34, bringing its market capitalization near $1.58 trillion.
Gains extended across top-tier altcoins: Ethereum rose 1.88% to $2,305.35, BNB appreciated 1.54% to $713.09, Zcash climbed 3.17% to $1,279.72, and Quant added 0.34% to reach $200.47. Gold-backed tokens followed traditional metal gains, with PAX Gold (PAXG) rising 0.48% to $3,912.64 and Tether Gold (XAUT) advancing 0.66% to $3,897.34. Bucking the upward momentum, Monero slid 0.42% to $601.46, Bitcoin Cash dropped 0.41% to $285.36, and Bittensor fell 0.59% to $233.38. The benchmark CoinMarketCap 20 Index strengthened by 1.38% to 159.68 points. While analysts attribute the rebound to bargain hunting following recent pullbacks, persistent 30-day losses of 7.22% for Bitcoin suggest underlying selling pressure remains present.
