The average funeral allowance for deceased pensioners in Azerbaijan is projected to increase from 946 manats to 1,200 manats in 2027, while the benefit for insured employees will climb from 590 manats to 700 manats. This represents a 254-manat (26.8%) increase for pensioner allowances and a 110-manat (18.6%) bump for insured workers, according to the draft 2027 State Budget Bill reviewed by the Parliamentary Committee for Economic Policy, Industry, and Enterprising.

By comparison, budgetary allocations for funeral subsidies in 2026 totaled 37.6 million manats covering approximately 39,800 recipients, with an average payment estimated at 944 manats (compared to 40 million manats allocated in 2025). As established on July 1, 2025, funeral benefits stood at 600 manats for active insured contributors and three times the minimum labor pension—amounting to 960 manats—for deceased pensioners' beneficiaries.
