Sudirman Said, the Indonesian minister of energy and mineral resources, has met his Azerbaijani counterpart, Natiq Aliyev, and President Ilham Aliyev in Baku.

Natiq Aliyev said Azerbaijan exported 2 million tons of crude oil and oil products to Indonesia last year. Trade between the two countries was worth 3.4 billion dollars in 2014, he said, according to an Energy Ministry statement.

Aliyev said Indonesia can benefit from Azerbaijan’s experience in oil refining and exploration.

The Indonesian minister was also received by President Ilham Aliyev.

The Azerbaijani president praised cooperation between Azerbaijan and Indonesia, saying there are good opportunities to expand economic and trade ties between the two countries.
