The European Union and Azerbaijan are in talks on a strategic partnership agreement that would be acceptable to both sides, Malena Mard, head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan, told reporters on Friday, according to APA news agency.
She said the agreement will cover the rule of law, trade, economy, democracy and other areas.
Mard noted that Azerbaijan will be given grants to promote the rule of law and justice.
"The grants, which are part of the European Neighborhood Policy and the Eastern Partnership, will amount to 75 to 90 million euros,” she said.
