This is the astonishing photograph of a girl who survived being impaled on three steel bars after she fell from a construction site.

The girl, 17, was on the roof when she slipped and fell onto a steel reinforcing bars used to strengthen concrete. Miraculously, the three pieces of steel missed every major organ as they forced their way through the youngster's body. Emergency services arrived at the scene in Bihar, north east India and began the delicate task of freeing her.During the ten-hour rescue operation medics were forced to cut the steel from the building's foundation while supporting the unnamed girl, preventing the bars from moving inside her. After she was freed from the building, the girl was brought by ambulance to the Ruban Patilputra Hospital in Patna. The girl then underwent a five-hour long operation to remove the steel. Doctors said despite her ordeal the girl was recuperating at the hospital. According the Hindustan Times the girl's survival was down to fate: 'This is what Bhagya - Destiny is all about, if its not your day to die, you wont.'(dailymail.co.uk)Bakudaily.az
