Optic cable infrastructure extending to 190 kilometers will be built.

"Baku Telephone Communications"  production unit of the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan in connection with the first European games, which will be held in Baku in 2015, started the construction of the optical cable infrastructure in the direction of places where direct competition will be held, as well as in the direction of other places, related to the Games.According to PU optic cable (LCT) infrastructure with a total length of 190 kilometers.Data transmission speed will rate up to 10 Gbit / s."Currently, about 70 percent of the work on the construction of the cable infrastructure has been completed. The remainder of the work will be completed in the near future ",  said PU.As part of future work it is also planned to create a copper telecommunications infrastructure. The overall length of the optical line will be 230 kilometers, and of copper cable infrastructure - about 70 kilometers.Services ISDN will be introduced as part of the work,  the infrastructure of Internet access will be expanded, free network Wi-Fi in public areas (parks, stadiums, shopping centers) will be deployed.The work on establishing a quality and sustainable infrastructure for broadcasting (including broadcasting organization in format HD) is also planned. With a view to providing quality video the direct international link and a separate fiber-optic network will be involved. In addition, the resources of telecommunication satellite of Azerbaijan «Azerspace-1." will also be used.The first European games, which will be held in Baku from 12 to 28 June 2015 - an exciting and technically advanced sports show for the whole continent.Bakudaily.Az
