Iran's ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohsen Paka'in has said that official Tehran's position on the Nagorno-Karabakh (Nagornyy Karabakh) conflict remains unchanged, Tasnim News Agency reported on 4 June.

"Our [Iran's] position on Nagorno-Karabakh has not changed, and we hope this dispute will be resolved peacefully within the framework of the territorial integrity and according to international laws," Paka'in said on the sidelines of a conference devoted to Imam Khomeini (Khomeyni).

He added: "We support the continuation of the cease-fire and negotiations of the two countries [referring to Armenian and Azerbaijan], and hope that the peace talks will yield good results.

Iran's ambassador to Baku also said that the OSCE Minsk Group should have a more active role in leading the peace negotiations and take more efforts to resolving this crisis, adding: "The continuation of the negotiations for finding a peaceful resolution within the framework of the international regulations and implementing international resolutions can be effective."
