Mehriban Aliyeva pays official visit to Vatican

Azerbaijan’s First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva has paid an official visit to the Vatican.

During the visit, she and her family attended the opening ceremony of the restoration project of the Catacombs of Saint Commodilla, carried out with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, and reviewed the completed work.

Aliyeva also met Cardinal James Harvey, Archpriest of the Basilica of Saint Paul, and was briefed on the restoration and construction works there supported by the Foundation.

On October 16, she visited Europe’s largest children’s hospital, Bambino Gesù.
