Azerbaijani police solve 54 crimes in one day, detain 152 wanted persons

 Azerbaijani police solved 54 crimes recorded across the country on March 5, as well as 13 cases that had remained unsolved from previous periods, the Interior Ministry’s press service said.

Authorities also detained a total of 152 wanted individuals, including 112 people sought as debtors, and handed them over to relevant authorities, the ministry said.

Police additionally identified 29 drug-related offences and 14 cases involving the seizure and discovery of illegally held firearms and ammunition.

According to the ministry, 70 people suspected of committing crimes were detained.
