Now he has been spotted driving the tasty motor into the club's training ground car park.

Vardy, 29, will be hoping to be on target again today for The Foxes as they travel to London for a crucial lunchtime game with Arsenal.

If they win they will move a step closer to winning the title, costing the bookies millions of pounds.

Simon Clare, spokesman for Coral bookmakers, said: "Should Leicester win the Premier League, it will go down as officially, and by some margin, the biggest shock in the history of betting in this country, and probably the world.

"What is even more remarkable is that we've taken over a hundred bets on Leicester at odds between 5,000-1 and 1,000-1.

"This explains why we are facing a £4m loss if Leicester defy history and the odds by winning the title."

If Leicester are the Cinderella of the Premier League then Vardy is the ultimate Cinderella Man.

His rags-to-riches story had been touted as Hollywood material.

Warner Brothers are said to be planning a film of his life, possibly using Canadian actor Ryan Gosling to play the part or even Leonardo DiCaprio, who is 12 years older than the Leicester star.

Six years ago Sheffield-born Vardy was playing part-time for non-league Stocksbridge Park Steels and working in a factory making medical splints.

But he scored 66 goals in 107 games, earning moves up the leagues to Halifax, Fleetwood and eventually Leicester.

Vardy was reported last week saying: "I do have to pinch myself every day really. It's a rise that I wouldn't have predicted to happen, but it's credit to me for the work I've put in as well."

Last month Manchester United's young defender Cameron Borthwick-Jackson was mocked after he turned up for training in a Vauxhall Corsa, worth a meagre £20,000.

But he may be about to trade up to something a bit more Premier League after being offered a new contract, worth 500% more than his £2,000 a week deal, after breaking into the first team.
