Kristersson noted that contacts between Stockholm and Ankara on the issues of Sweden's NATO membership continue.
"We had contacts after the second round of the presidential elections held last Sunday. We have fulfilled the requirements of the memorandum. A new anti-terrorism law has been drafted. The last part of it actually comes into force on June 1. This is an important step. Thus, we have done what we promised our Turkish friends under the tripartite memorandum. We acknowledged that the Turkish side had good reasons for concern,” added the Swedish prime minister.
