Police: 971 killed in traffic accidents in Azerbaijan in Jan-Oct

As many as 971 people werekilled in traffic accidents in Azerbaijan in January through October, policesaid.

The number of deaths increasedby two from a year earlier, according to Kamran Aliyev, a spokesman for thetraffic police.

In Baku alone, 284 peoplewere killed and 846 injured during the period, he said.
