Sergey Shoygu: Russia supports Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process
Russia supports the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Sergey Shoygu said.
Shoygu made the remark during a meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on August 6.
The secretary also highlighted the successful development of relations between Russia and Azerbaijan in regional security, military-technical, transport, and economic spheres.
He mentioned that significant issues on the bilateral cooperation agenda have been effectively tackled.
Shoygu cited the implementation of the International North-South Corridor project as an example of this progress and noted the substantial work done on a tripartite basis.
Prospects for cooperation in the "3+3” format were also discussed at the meeting.
