Five years since Azerbaijani forces liberated Hadrut and nearby villages

On October 9, 2020, Azerbaijani Armed Forces liberated the town of Hadrut and several nearby villages from Armenian occupation during the counterterrorism operation.
President Ilham Aliyev announced the news in a televised address to the nation, listing the liberated settlements as Hadrut, Chayli, Yukhary Guzlek, Gyshlag, Garajaly, and Efendiler.
The operation marked a major turning point in the 44-day Patriotic War, securing a strategic advantage for Azerbaijan’s forces.
