Aliyev says Azerbaijan entering new stage of strategic ties with United States
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said Azerbaijan is entering a new stage of relations with the United States following the signing of a document with U.S. President Donald Trump to establish a strategic working group to draft a Strategic Partnership Charter.
Speaking at the “Azerbaijan Leadership Breakfast” on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Aliyev said work on the charter was nearly complete and could be finalised as early as next month.
He said cooperation with U.S. companies has intensified and now covers data centres, artificial intelligence, energy and other connectivity projects. Aliyev added that several Azerbaijani delegations have visited Washington and other U.S. cities since August, yielding positive results.
