Azerbaijan’s University of Economics gets new rector: report

President Ilham Aliyev decreed today to dismiss Shamsaddin Haciyev, rector of the University of Economics, Qafqazinfo news website reported.

Adalat Muradov was appointed rector of the university.

The president's office has yet to confirm the report.

Haciyev had been in the post since 2004. He currently heads the parliament’s Education Commission.
