Pope Francis will visit Tbilisi and Baku on September 30 - October 2, a program of the pope's apostolic journey to Georgia and Azerbaijan posted on the Holy See website reads.


Pope Francis will meet with Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili and Catholicos-Patriarch Ilia II as part of his visit.


On October 1 the Pope will meet with members of religious communities and conduct a holy mass at the Mikheil Meskhi Stadium in Tbilisi. The pope will also visit the Holy Trinity Cathedral of Tbilisi.
